Monaghan County Council intends to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

From Tuesday 7th June 2016 to Friday 10th July 2016. 24 hour closure.
To facilitate:-
The construction of a new stone wall at St Finbarr’s Church, Main Street Carrickmacross.
Road closed: –
• Main Street Carrickmacross, R927, Southbound lane from the junction of Farney Street to the Kingscourt Road junction. Drivers will not be allowed to turn left from Farney Street onto Main Street and will be diverted right onto the northbound lane on Main Street. Road closure is in the Townland of Drummond Otra.
Alternative Route:-
Traffic wishing to proceed southbound on the R927 Main Street Carrickmacross, will be diverted onto Castle Street R179, right onto New Street R178, right onto Oriel Road R927 and right/left onto the Old Ardee Road R927.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
