Our Association was formed in 1965 and was the driving force behind the establishing of The Holy Family school in Cootehill for children with a Learning Disability. The Group stayed busy and continued to support families in many ways. Over the years we have purchased two Residential homes in Carrickmacross and seven years ago commenced the provision of day services to Adults with Learning Disability. In this service we are funded by the North Eastern Health Board by means of an Annual Budget grant.
Two years ago we moved to a new purposed built facility at Steadfast House. We now have 28 attendees availing of such services as Computer training, Arts/Crafts work, Pottery making and Horticulture activities. We employ 5 full time staff, 3 part time and 2 Community Enterprise staff.
