Members Sought for Board of Directors for Family Resource Centre

Local people are being sought to join a new voluntary Board of Directors and play a key role in establishing a Family Resource Centre in Carrickmacross.
Family Resource Centres provide vital supports for families, children and individuals in the community. They offer services such as advice, education programmes, family supports and community activities, all aimed at improving wellbeing and preventing issues before they arise. We want to bring together people who understand the local community and those who can contribute ideas, board skills, experience or a fresh perspective. This will help ensure the centre responds to real local needs while developing in a strong and sustainable way.
What does the Board do?
The Board helps make sure the centre is run well and continues to grow. This includes:
  • Helping plan for the future
  • Making sure services meet community needs
  • Supporting staff and the manager
  • Overseeing how money is spent
  • Making sure everything is done properly and fairly
You don’t need to know all of this already, support and guidance will be provided.

There will be an  information night on 17th Sept and the 7th Oct in the Shirley Arms hotel starting at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and hear you could impact this future committee.
