The 3rd Annual Carrickmacross Lions Club Cycle will take place on Sunday 4th May 2014 in aid of Alzheimer’s Support. 100% of the money raised goes to providing weekly respite care for Alzheimer’s patients and their families.
The Lions Club would like to extend a warm invitation to all cyclists and those with a bike who want to support the event to their charity cycle.
The Lions Club Cycle is not just an event for experienced cyclists as the flat 30km Oriel Route to Tallanstown is ideal for leisure and beginner cyclists of all abilities.
The Tallanstown Tidy Towns Committee will kindly provide refreshments to the Oriel Route Cyclists at the half way point. The 30km Oriel Route will start at 10:00am from Main Street, Carrickmacross.
The new 90km Drumlin Route for experienced cyclists will feature the rolling countryside of counties Monaghan and Cavan. It will pass through Carrickmacross – Castleblayney – Doohamlet – Ballybay – Swanns Cross – Rockcorry – Cootehill – Shercock – Kingscourt before returning to Carrickmacross. The 90km Drumlin Route will start at 9:30am from Main Street, Carrickmacross.
Check-in / Registration will take place in The Phoenix Sports Centre Carrickmacross from 8am to 9:30am.
Once again the Lions Club will provide refreshments, massage & shower facilities in the Phoenix Sports Centre after the event.
The Registration fee is €15 for Single Cyclists, Couples €25 and Family (all living in same household) €30.
