May The 4th Be With You…… Carrickmacross Lions Club Cycle

The 3rd annual Carrickmacross Lions Club Cycle will take place on Sunday May 4th 2014 in aid of Alzheimer’s Support.

Carrickmacross Lions Club President Paddy Gollogly welcomed the support of the local cycling community which has been instrumental in the huge success of the cycle in previous years. He stated that “the aims of the Carrickmacross Lions Club Cycle are to promote a healthier active lifestyle through cycling and to raise funds for the provision of a weekly bus service which takes Alzheimer’s patients to the Drumkill Day Care Centre in Threemilehouse. We would be hopeful of attracting cyclists from near and far and plan to provide them with a great welcome and another enjoyable day out”.

The Lions Club Cycle will cater for cyclists of all abilities, with the 90km Drumlin Route extending through parts of counties Monaghan and Cavan and the 30km Oriel Route which will have the picturesque village of Tallanstown as its destinataion suitable for beginner and lesisure cyclists.
