Local Councillor Fears Monaghan County Council Will Not Have Resources To Deal With A Bad Winter

A Carrickmacross councillor Carrickmacross taken by Joanne Kearseysays he’s very worried about the possibility of a bad winter and the effect it will have on south Monaghan.

Noel Keelan says he’s fearful that if Ireland gets a bad winter, the county council will not have the resources to deal with it.

According to Councillor Keelan, the bad winter of 2010 had a big impact on the salt reserves of the local authority.

The Sinn Fein Councillor says it’s very important that a plan is in place to deal with bad weather.
