Huge Turnout for First Ever Carrick Kitchen Fest

Huge Turnout for First Ever Carrick Kitchen Fest

Carrickmacross Chamber of Commerce held its first every Carrick Kitchen Fest on the 18th of July at the Market Square. The sun was shining – just enough, the music was flowing and the food was fabulous. Over 15 local cafes, restaurants and food producers took part in the event and hundreds of visitors attended.

The brown bread making competition attracted a lot of attention with 10 year old Katie winning the under 18 section and Mary Flanagan winning the over 18 category. The bread went down a treat with the hand made butter, freshly made by Mary.

It was also a full house at the Gingerbread Decorating workshop in Carrickmacross Toy Library and Afternoon Tea in the Shirley Arms went down a treat. Carrickmacross Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all the sponsors and all those who participated and attended.
