Since 2007 the Carrickmacross Branch of Comhaltas have organised a traditional music festival in honour of the 19th century harper Patrick Byrne. The festival is held each year on the Palm Sunday weekend and takes place in and around the town of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
We are very excited about this year’s festival as we welcome Goitse, Zoë Conway, John McIntyre, Seán McElwaine, Dónal McCague, Rise the Dust, The Élan Trio plus lots more. This year we have added an Arts Demonstration & Workshop plus a singing session. Music and dance workshops will take place on Saturday & Sunday.
