Did you know the 1st-8th of September is Hedgerow Week 
As part of the week Carrickmacross Library will be hosting an informative talk on Harvesting our Hedgerows.
Monaghan County Council‘s Biodiversity Officer Dr. Patricia Mc Creesh and Glennys Pollock of Pollocks’ Pickles & Preserves talk will detail what foods and ingredients can be gathered from our native hedges with some tasty samples provided on the evening.
