| Cormagh is a Community Employment (CE) Project, funded by the Department of Social Protection. CE projects are typically sponsored by groups wishing to benefit the local community, namely voluntary and community organisations involved in not for-profit activities. Cormagh Development Company Ltd provides a valuable service in the rural areas of Corduff, Magheracloone and the Carrickmacross Workhouse, while at the same time providing training and educational opportunities to jobseekers. Participants work 19.5 hours per week in not-for-profit organisations within these areas. CE is also a Training Programme and each participant agrees to take part in accredited courses that will help them move back to mainstream employment. Participants are provided with support and guidance through an individual learning plan, so they can gain the necessary skills to help further their career. We offer meaningful employment opportunities within our local area. Our primary goal is to support unemployed individuals by integrating them into essential community services that typically rely on volunteer efforts. Participants provide additional help and support in our Community Centres, Football Clubs, Churches, and other volunteer organisations and contribute hugely to these vital services. By taking part, participants gain valuable hands-on skills that enhance their employability. | ||
