Carrickmacross Chamber of Commerce are delighted to launch their annual Christmas Market weekend from 27th – 30th November 2014. The idea of the market is to show case local businesses in the one area, and also artisan food producers and craft makers an opportunity display their products. The market creates a great atmosphere and there is something for everyone inside.
The market will kick off on Thursday evening at 6.30pm with the official turn on of the Christmas lights by Mr. Brendan McCahey as seen on the Voice of Ireland. Santa will also be there to help Brendan with the big count down. Brendan will perform live in Carrickmacross on the night.
Friday 12-6pm Carrickmacross Christmas Marquee will be transformed into a food emporium bringing all kinds of flavours and foods which are produced and sold in the Carrickmacross area. TV3 Late Lunch Live and Woman’s Way Magazine Celebrity Chef Adrian Martin will be doing cookery demo’s throughout the day.
Friday 8pm “Lets Stuff the Turkey Lets Party This Christmas” brought to you by Carrickmacross Lions Club who are currently raising funds for many local charities in Carrickmacross. There is a cracking line up on the night, Mulled wine on arrival – by Markeys Bar. TV3 Late Lunch Live and Woman’s Way Magazine Celebrity Chef Adrian Martin will be there to give you his take on simple Christmas Dinner.
Bernie’s Kitchen will be there to do a simple take on what food to prepare for your Christmas Party. Dusty O’Neill’s will be shaking it up with their cocktail and mocktail demo and taste (ID required! 🙂 ) and Flowers by Ann will be showing you a speedy Christmas wreath and table centre piece. Raffle on the night with great prizes to be won. Tickets €10 or students €5 available from McGuire’s Pharmacy, Aura Internet or Golo.ie Insurance, or just pay on the night. All proceeds to Carrickmacross Lions Club who raise funds for local charities/causes.
Saturday 10am – 6pm Christmas Gift & Craft Market, lots of local shops and craft makers will display their gifts for sale for Christmas. Many Christmas Market special offer prices for the weekend, so don’t miss out.
Saturday from 8pm in Aid of the Carrickmacross Workhouse funding Appeal local bands will take to the stage to perform. More information to follow.
