The Chamber of Commerce Christmas Market Weekend is back again this year from Thursday November 28th to Sunday December 1st. All events will take place in a heated Marquee on Main Street. It will be a fun filled weekend of exploring local produce, local crafts, local retail and services, right on our doorstep. Its all free so come into town over the weekend and see what Carrick has to offer.

It opens on Thursday evening at 6.30pm with Santa arriving to turn on the Christmas Lights and a free disco and hip hop dancing for the Children.

On Friday we have “A Taste of Carrick” from 10 to 6pm.
A Taste of Local Carrickmacross Food, Cafes, Restaurants and Local Producers! Looking for recipe ideas? Want to source fresh local food? Want to order a hamper, pudding or ham for Christmas? Come along and get ideas!

We will have display stands from the following local services:
Restaurants, Cafes, Delis, Bakeries, Off-licences, Local Food Producers such as Cakes, Veg, Cheese, Meat, Breads and many other food businesses.

On Friday evening at 7.30pm in the Marquee we have a special guest, Celebrity Chef, Brian McDermott, the “No Salt Chef” who will do a Christmas themed cookery demonstration. Brian will be using locally sourced ingredients and offering ideas for a wonderful Christmas menu.

On Saturday and Sunday we have the Christmas Gift & Craft market from 10am to 6pm.
Looking for Christmas gifts with a difference? Why not support a local business and buy a hand made gift, a local hamper, a hand made card or a voucher? Come in and have a browse around, talk to local makers and get ideas.

We will have display stands from the following local services:
Crafts people, hand made jewellery makers, painters, textile artists, designers, card makers and any other local business selling Christmas Gifts.

There will be demonstrations over the weekend and lots of special shopping promotions on all over town so check out the chamber website and facebook page for more details.

Entry to all these events is FREE.
Free tickets are available in local shops, cafes and restaurants.
