4 chinese students from the city of Wenzhou, who were recently on a 1 week adventure holiday at the Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre, paid a visit to Carrickmacross, during which they visited the Lace Gallery where they were given a demonstration and the history of Carrickmacross lace making by Elizabeth Daly. They also spent some time shopping in the town and were later entertained by members of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and dancers from the Sorcha McCaul school of Irish Dancing in the Shirley Arms hotel.
The students thoroughly enjoyed their time in County Monaghan and have taken a very positive impression back to China.
