Carrickmacross Webcam – A Christmas Greeting

Carrickmacross Webcam – A Christmas Greeting

The Carrickmacross webcam on www.carrickmacross.ie was set up to allow people to view the busy and vibrant town that Carrickmacross is.

It is used in many ways by people at home and abroad.

Since its launch we have heard so many stories about how people use the webcam.

One man travels over and back to the USA, he logs in to check “how the flags are flying at Markeys”  if the flags are fluttering in the wind it means that there is a good breeze and therefore his windmill at his home out the road is covering his electric bills!

Another man was spotted parking a new van up outside Markeys Pub and making a phone call and waving frantically in the air, it was later revealed that he had just purchased a new van and wanted to show it off to his daughter in Australia, she had logged into the webcam on www.carrickmacross.ie to see it!

Last night the Carrickmacross Scouts made a very special Christmas Greeting, over 100 kids lay on the ground to spell out Merry Christmas!!!

You can view the webcam here.
