Carrickmacross Town Towns group is made up of volunteers who give their time to help ensure that Carrickmacross looks well and is a great place to live. The group have been very successful at the annual Tidy Town Awards and the town has received a gold medal 7 years in a row.
Before Christmas the water bowser was stolen. The group used the bowser to water the flowers put out on the town in the Summer months,. This was a huge loss to the group, Carrickmacross is well know locally and nationally for the array of flowers and its is frequently commented on in the Tidy Town judging. The bowser was key to ensure the flowers were watered and sustained on the town for as long as possible. The group have now launched a GoFundMe appeal to replace the bowser before the start of the 2023 flowering season.
