Carrickmacross Dance Kids present ‘Midsummer Beat’

Freda Hearty and the Carrickmacross Dance Kids are back and ready to take over An Táin Theatre on June 20, 2012 with their spectacular show, ‘Midsummer Beat’.
‘Midsummer Beat’ is a perfect night out for all the family, with performances to suit all ages. The talented dancers aged from just 4 years onwards are promising to stage a “show-stopping performance” of the popular Disney story, The Lion King. Let the Dance Kids transport you to the mighty jungle in Africa, where Timon and Pumba will undoubtedly keep you entertained with their antics whilst Simba the lion transforms into the king of the jungle.

“We are literally going to ‘Rock’ An Táin Theatre,” laughed Freda Hearty, founder and director, Dance Kids Stage School. “We have a show full of surprises this year; it’s all about having fun and we’re having lots of that. We have been so busy the last few months preparing for this show. I would like to thank all the Carrickmacross Dance Kids and their wonderful families; they have been great and so supportive. All the hard work has really paid off and it’s going to be a fantastic show.”

The night of entertainment will also include hit songs from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and many more. If that wasn’t enough there will be a spectacular circus performance, which is sure to bring the house down. To finish off the show the Dance Kids will perform to the classic ‘A Star Is Born’, which is sure to have the audience dancing and singing along.

Over the past number of years, Freda Hearty and the Dance Kids have raised an amazing €127,000 for charity both locally and abroad. This year, proceeds from ‘Midsummer Beat’ will be going to local charities.
