Freda Hearty and the Carrickmacross Dance Kids have once again exceeded expectations and delighted audiences with their recent show ‘Midsummer Beat’. The talented Dance Kids aged from just four years danced and sang their hearts out last weekend when ‘Midsummer Beat’ took to An Tàin Theatre stage and brought the house down; with delighted audiences declaring it “the best show yet”.
With a packed out show, delighted audiences were transported to the mighty jungle in Africa where Timon and Pumbaa kept everyone entertained while Simba the Lion transformed into the king of the jungle. Afterwards the audience were delighted with excerpts from ‘Sister Act’ and some of Justin Bieber’s greatest hits.
If that wasn’t enough there was also a spectacular circus performance, which saw the Táin Theatre stage taken over by the circus ringmaster and a host of clowns. There was also a lollipop scene, which showcased both the singing and dancing ability of the Dance Kids.
After six months of hard work and a show-stopping performances from the Carrickmacross Dance Kids, an exhausted but delighted Freda Hearty said “I am absolutely thrilled with how well the show turned out. All the kids and Dance Kids crew worked so hard. Its all about having fun and we had so much fun during ‘Midsummer Beat’. All the Dance Kids and their families have been great and so supportive. All the hard work has really paid off.”
