Carrickmacross Camera Club Photography Exhibition

The local Camera Club is holding its third public exhibition of photographs in the Workhouse on Friday evening 25 th October and on the afternoons (12.30 – 4.00pm) of Saturday and Sunday 26 th /27 th October respectively.
The club members will have up to one hundred of their photographs on display, featuring landscapes, nature, archictecture, portaits and still life to mention just a few themes. Many of the photographs on display have won national and international awards in recent times as club members have honed their skills to a very high standard. The club has come of age since its establishment in 2013 and is now highly regarded at national level as a result of the quality of the work produced by members. Entrance is free and if you have a few hours on your hands over the weekend and want to spend the time indulging in a quality and very interesting exhibition please join us over the weekend of the 25 th -27 th October in the Workhouse, satisfaction guaranteed.
The official exhibition launch, which is sponsored once again by our local Credit Union, is on the Friday evening 25 th Oct at 7pm and the club is honoured that Ms Kate Began, a local and esteemed visual artist, will do the official honours and launch the exhibition. Kate hails from Donaghmoyne and has exhibited her own work all across Ireland on numerous solo shows and joint exhibitions to great acclaim. Kate has also held a residency at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy in 2019. Her themes are many and varied and unsurprisingly much of her inspiration comes from the local area, the roads, fields, ditches and buildings of county Monaghan.

The Camera Club looks forward to seeing many from the local community dropping in to the exhibition to view some spectacular work.
