Allocation of €250,000 for Roads

Deputy Seán Conlan TD welcomes the announcement of an allocation of €250,000 by the Department of Transport Tourism and Sport for the Carrickmacross to Dundalk Road in 2013 and a €161,000 which has been allocated to Carrickmacross Town Council.
Deputy Conlan stated that he was “pleased with the announcement from Government today that a total of €411,300 has been allocated to the Carrickmacross area. This is great news for the residents of Carrickmacross and the surrounding area”.

Deputy Conlan stated that he is “delighted with the allocation of €250,000 to fund improvements to the Carrickmacross to Dundalk Road. This road is a commuter route for many from the greater Carrickmacross area who commute daily to Dundalk and the continuation of road improvements on this busy stretch of road will make the journey safer and easier for all”.
The Deputy called on the people of Carrickmacross to bring road issues to his attention, or to the attention of local Town Council representatives so that the works which are necessary can be carried out by Carrickmacross Town Council in the wake of this announcement.
Deputy Conlan in welcoming the allocation of funding says “this is evidence of this Government’s commitment to infrastructural improvements in the Carrickmacross region”
