Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world giving aid to disadvantaged people at home and abroad.

In April 2008, Monaghan Lions Club sponsored the setting up of a Lions Club in Carrickmacross. Carrickmacross Lions Club (CLC) since its inception, thanks to the generous donations of the supporters of our fundraising events, has helped people in the local community suffering from physical and/or mental disadvantage.

Approx. 1,000 pairs of used spectacles have been collected and forwarded to the Third World. We have plans to develop and expand our services in the future, finances permitting.
